<p>It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie Katherine Murdoch of Reno Nevada. Marjorie passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 15th, 2023 at the beautiful age of 95.</p><p><br></p><p>Marjorie was born on June 8, 1927 in Carnegie, PA., to Peter &amp; Henrietta Blankowski. She had two older brothers, Daniel and Richard, and a younger brother, John (all have preceded her in death). </p><p><br></p><p>Marjorie married Sam Murdoch in August of 1950, and they were married for 57 years until his passing in 2007. At which time, at the age of 80, she went to work as a Caregiver until she was 92. Marjorie loved helping others and was loved by everyone that knew her. She was an amazing human, full of love, light, and positivity. She lived a long and beautiful life. She was a true inspiration with unwavering faith.</p><p><br></p><p>Marjorie loved to watch all sports and was a Steelers fan; she played tennis, loved gardening, and had a green thumb; she loved to play games, especially Rummikub, Uno, and Bingo, and she loved to dance and sing.</p><p><br></p><p>Marjorie is survived by her sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. She will be sorely missed.</p><p><br></p><p>A viewing and Rosary will be held on Wednesday May 31st at 6:00 pm at Walton’s Funeral Home (875 W. Second Street, Reno) and a Mass will be held on Thursday, June 1st at 12:00 pm at Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church (1250 Wyoming Avenue, Reno).</p><p><br></p><p>A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
