Odean Alfred Olsen

Odean Alfred Olsen, born February 24, 1930, in Divide County, North Dakota, died on May 24th, 2023, in Phoenix Arizona, surrounded by family. Odean was preceded in death by his parents, Ole and Alma Olsen, twelve siblings and their spouses and his son Mark. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary Ellen, daughter in law Deb Olsen, his children Lylis Olsen, Amy (Jerry) Hugo, his grandsons Brian (Jennifer) and Robbie (Sabrina) Olsen, Skyler and Zachary Hugo and his great grandchildren Eli, Reece, and Charlotte Olsen. Odean served in the Army in Korea where he was awarded a purple heart. He worked as an Import Specialist for the United States Customs Services before retiring in 1990. He and Mary Ellen enjoyed 33 years of retirement in Minnesota, Florida and Arizona with many wonderful memories of travels, family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7670 E Jomax Rd, Scottsdale Az 85266 on Monday May 29,at 10:30am. Internment at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix will be scheduled at a later date.
