Larry Allen Ballew of Independence Missouri passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 74 years old.

Larry entered this world on April 23rd, 1949, in Kansas City, to the parents of Lucille and Gene Ballew. Larry served this country as a member of the US Air Force and Coast Guard. He was a lifetime Mason member, long-time sailor, member of the Jacomo Cruiser Fleet, Boy Scouts of America member and leader, and friend to many. Larry loved the outdoors, and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and traveling with family and friends.

Larry leaves behind his loving wife Judy, and two sisters: Barbara Larson and Terri Steinberg; his two sons: Jeremy and Josh Ballew, along with their wives Sheena and Beth; and his grandkids: Amber, Marley, Bennett, Micah, Finnegan, and Harlow.

A visitation will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church of Independence where Larry was a member, on Saturday, June 17th starting at 9:00am with a Mass following at 11:00am.
