MACRELLI, Maria E. “Dolly” (Vega), age 96, of Dorchester, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Ferdinand “Fred” Macrelli. Devoted mother of Robert Macrelli and his wife Ellen of Dorchester, Donald Macrelli and his wife Cathleen of Dorchester, and Edward Macrelli and his wife Joan of Brockton. Dear sister of the late Eugene Vega. Cherished grandmother of Hillary, Matthew, Robert Jr., Elena, the late David; and great grandmother of Kaleb, Connor, Harley and Henley. Also survived by a large and loving extended family and many dear friends. Maria was a longtime parishioner of St. Brendan’s Church. Along with her love for her pets, her nature walks, and time spent reading, Dolly was most passionate about giving generously and volunteering her time to many charities; most notably Rosie’s Place, Pine Street Inn, and The Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

Visiting hours in the John J. O’Connor & Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd.) DORCHESTER, Tuesday from 4-8 pm. Funeral Mass in St. Brendan’s Church, Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock.
