Jeanine Angela-Wahl Proctor passed from this life on May 23, 2023, at the age of 38.


Jeanine was born on April 9, 1985, at Fort Sill Army Base in Lawton, Oklahoma. Jeanine was the daughter of Stephen Dale and Claudia Angelika (Wahl) Dilday. Jeanine attended school at Fort Sill and Baden Wurtenberg, Germany, and moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma, during her middle school year in 1997. Jeanine later graduated from Cleveland High School with the Class of 2004. Following high school, Jeanine was united in marriage to high school sweetheart Jereme Daniel Proctor on July 16, 2005, at her parent's home in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Jeanine worked at Hillcrest Medical Center for several years and is currently employed with the Cleveland Public Schools as a Paraprofessional.


Jeanine was a lady that embodied what unconditional love for students looked like. She brought peace and joy during the most challenging circumstances. She had a laugh and a beaming smile that would brighten any room. Jeanine could make each kid feel special. She also developed a relationship with them during that time, always making someone feel special. Jeanine was a longtime board member of the Cleveland Area Soccer Club, always being the go-to person for the club. She touched the lives of hundreds of kids in her community during her time with the soccer club. Jeanine always made sure they had everything the coaches and kids needed. Jeanine Proctor was a teacher, a mentor, and a friend to many people.


Survivors are her husband, Jereme, of the home; three sons, Kaden, Hunter, and Graeson Proctor of the home; parents Steve and Claudia Dilday of Cleveland, Oklahoma; one brother Stephen Dilday of Ohio; mother and father in law Dan and Cindy Proctor of Cleveland, Oklahoma; grandparents Pat and Vernon Proctor of Grove, Oklahoma, Mike and Sharon Monforte of Terlton, Oklahoma; one brother-in-law Shawn Proctor of Cleveland, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Shariece Proctor of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends. Jeanine was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mirl and Lois Dilday, and maternal grandparents, Karl and Ida Wahl.

Pallbearers will include Shawn Proctor, Josh Brown, Dustin Denny, Jorden Stamper, Dan Proctor, and Jeff Henton.


Services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma, with David Logsdon officiating. The family has requested memorial donations be made in honor of Jeanine to the American Heritage Bank or the First Christian Church in Cleveland. Burial will be held in the Woodland Cemetery.
