Margo Goss Obituary

Margo Ellen Goss, 69, of South Whitley, Indiana, tragically passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from an auto accident on State Road 14 in Whitley County. Born August 24, 1953 in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Phil L. and Eulah  Mae (Hornaday) Glassley.

Growing up in South Whitley, Margo graduated from South Whitley High School with the Class of 1972. On June 7, 1986, she married Greg S. Goss. Margo had worked for 10 years at Whitley Mobile Homes and for over the past 10 years, she worked for Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice. She attended Warsaw Community Church and was a Lady Am Vets in South Whitley.

Family meant the most to Margo. She loved all of them and especially adored her four grandchildren! She was involved with all of them, she was caring, loving, fun, and was always sparkling. Margo enjoyed traveling and spending time at Myrtle Beach, seeing the horses in Lexington, shopping, and she found relaxation sitting by the fire listening to a Cubs game.

Margo is survived by her loving husband, Greg Goss; sons and daughters-in-law, Derek and Annie Shilling and  Drew and Loranna Shilling; brother, Mark (Carl Hasty) Glassley; grandchildren, Vinny Shilling, Scout Shilling, Drake Shilling and Kennedy Shilling; mother-in-law, Mary Jo Goss; brother-in-law, Mark (Dorothy) Goss, sister-in-law, Rae Ann (Jerry) Bowman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eulah Glassley; father, Phil Glassley; step-mother, Peggy Glassley; infant sister, Marna Lynn Glassley; grandson, Brock Robert Shilling; and father-in-law, Larry L. Goss.

Private family services will be held and she will be laid to rest at the South Whitley Cemetery. With a love for her community and horses, memorial donations may be given in Margo's memory to "Cleveland Township Fire Department" or "Old Friends", a farm for retired race horses.
