Chelsea Jayne Field

Chelsea Jayne Field, 22, of Gouldsboro, passed away far too soon on May 20, 2023. The younger child of Andrew Field of Warren and Victoria (McKnight) Reynolds of Winslow, she was born in Damariscotta on December 12, 2000 and educated in area schools. She attended Warren Community School and graduated from Camden Hills Regional High School in 2019. Being naturally athletic she played many sports, including basketball throughout elementary

school and football throughout high school.

Chelsea always strived to improve herself and understood that hard work and continuing her education were the best ways to accomplish that. During high school she worked at the St. George River Café in Warren, where she developed a love of cooking, a passion she shared with her father. She later worked at Claws in Rockland, as well as at Olympia Sports, a natural fit given her interest in athletics and love of shoes. Later, she worked as a Direct Support Professional at Maine Vocational & Rehabilitation Associates.

Blessed with long blonde hair, her father’s height, and her mother’s natural beauty, Chelsea turned heads in every crowd. She was also very friendly and outgoing, always with a quick, willing and contagious smile. It was thus a natural fit that she should pursue a career as a cosmetologist and beautician. She studied at the Aveda Institute in Augusta, graduating in October 2020, and worked at Green with Envy Salon in Camden. It was a career she loved, and helping women achieve exactly the look they wanted brought her happiness and great personal satisfaction.

In February of 2022 she started her own hair salon, Fields of Beauty, on Main Street in Winter Harbor. She was a proud business owner and offered a full range of beauty services. Her business grew quickly, and she built a large and loyal clientele. She became well known for the quality of her work and especially enjoyed bridal packages, sometimes traveling substantial distances for those. She was never afraid of hard work.

Chelsea grew up in a family steeped in community service and committed to strengthening community through connection, and she brought this heritage with her when she relocated to the Gouldsboro area. In addition to her salon, she worked at the Pickled Wrinkle in Birch Harbor, where she built many new and steadfast friendships. She also greatly enjoyed coaching her beloved Bulldogs, a local youth basketball team.

Chelsea had a zest for life and greatly enjoyed travel. It was clear even in her youth that she would not be content simply to settle quietly in Warren. Her trips included the Grand Canyon and the Bahamas.

Chelsea had a very large, close-knit, and loving family. She is survived by her partner, Patrick Pinkham of Birch Harbor, her father, Andrew Field of Warren, her mother, Victoria Reynolds and husband Tim of Winslow, her brother Devin Field and wife Kaylee of Warren and their sons Deklin and Linkin, and her grandmother, Cynthia Field of Warren. She had an exceptionally close relationship with her brother Devin throughout childhood and into adulthood: they remained in constant contact, and each even had half of a pair of matching tattoos. She is also survived by her uncle George Field IV of Warren, his wife Angela, and their sons Tyler, and Everett, and by her cousin George Field V of Warren and his wife Amanda, her aunt Mary of Warren, and their half-siblings Diane Kelley and husband Mike of Warren and their children Angel and Larry, Carol Parker of Nobleboro and her children Gary, Tammy, Allison, Abigayle, Cason, and Emily, and Orrin Parker and his wife Amber of Warren and their children Tasha and Lance. She was close with them all.

She is also survived by her aunt Nancy Schwab and her husband Carl of Port Clyde and cousins Roberta, Sam and his wife Wendy, and Michael, and by her uncle James Spear and aunt Nancy, and cousins Jeff Spear and Greg Spear and his fiancée Kayla, all of Connecticut, as well as so many very special friends from childhood and beyond.

She was predeceased by her grandfather, George Field III of Warren, his wife Frances, and her

beloved Tigger.

A visitation and celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 30, from 5 - 7 p.m., at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main Street, Waldoboro. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, at 2 p.m., at Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro, with Pastor Lyle Bailey of Warren officiating. Her interment will be determined at a future time.

The impact she had on all those around her was tremendous, in both the Midcoast area and Downeast. Another celebration of Chelsea’s life will be held in Birch Harbor at a later date.
