Obituary

Tammy L. Stewart, 64, of Williston, passed away at the CHI Saint Alexius Hospital in Williston on Tuesday morning, May 23, 2023.

In Keeping with Tammy’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home in Williston.

Tammy was struck with cancer in 2020, she walked down that path with a broken back that had to be repaired, as well as cancer that miraculously was overcome. Through her faith in Christ, she was cancer free.

However, the treatment had done its damage and she suffered heart failure in the fall of 2020. Again, her faith overcame the illness and she survived.

In the spring of 2023, her heart was attacked by a virus or the chemo and this time she would have to decide to face the remainder of her life in and out of hospitals, or trust fully in her Savior Jesus Christ. She chose to put her faith in Jesus and the promises he has declared to all that trust in him.

On her own she chose Christ and went to be with him Tuesday at 11:00 am, May 23, 2023.

So, when you hear she has died, don’t believe it! She is more alive now than she has ever been!!!

Tammy was preceded in death by her two sons, Aaron and Robert Stewart, also her father Robert (RL) Hickel, and her father and mother-in-law, Frank and Jean Stewart. She is survived by her husband Rodney Stewart, daughter Amie Stewart and granddaughters Taylor and Hannah Cooper, son Jason (and Kate) Stewart, and granddaughters Evie, Eleanor, Hazel, Maggie, and Hilde. She is also survived by her mother Arlene Hickel, brothers, Tony, Todd, Travis and Troy Hickel, and sister Tina (and Cole) Davis.

A service celebrating her life is pending.
