<p>Mary Frances Hon, 81, Olathe, Kansas passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at her home. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, Kansas (913) 856-7111. Cremation to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) 14842 W. 90th Ter., Lenexa, KS.&nbsp; 66125. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com</p><p>Mary was born on March 27, 1942 in Olathe, Kansas to Joseph John and Dorothy May (Trammel) Lund. She grew up in Olathe and moved to Warrensburg, Missouri where she graduated from high school in 1957. Mary earned an Associates of Arts degree from JCCC. She married James David Hon who preceded her in death. Mary worked as a grocery clerk for over 30 years and a food service director at Eurest Dining Service for 20 years. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Warrensburg, Missouri where she served as a Sunday School teacher. Mary loved to shop, travel and visit Pomme de Terre Lake, Missouri. She was known as “Aunt Mary” to anyone who knew her. Mary was a member of the “Dirty Dozen,” a group of longtime friends.</p><p>Mary was preceded in death by her husband James; parents; son Michael Brown; daughter Bonnie Brown Rapp and brothers: John Lund, Robert Lund, and Tom Renfro. She is survived by her children Dennis (Tammie) Brown and Terry Brown; siblings: Charles Lund (Penny), Sandra Jennings (Raymond), Sherry Miller, Chuck Miller brother-in-law, Viola Patterson (Bill), Orville LeDoux (Nancy) and Travis LeDoux; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.</p>
