<p>Millinocket and Sherman– Sandra S. Horton, 53, went to be with the Lord very suddenly on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. She was born November 29, 1969, in Millinocket, the daughter of Pearl C. and Suzanne (Whitehouse) Horton.</p><p><br></p><p>Sandy grew up in Sherman, and was a graduate of Katahdin High School, class of 1988. She was limited in her ability to use her hands due to a medical condition, but she cared for others, and was a volunteer with Pier 2 Pier Recovery Group for a period. Sandy will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered by her family and those who knew her.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her mother, Suzanne Cullens and her father, Pearl Horton, Sandy is survived by her fiancé Scott Moechel; three children, Benjamin Forister and his partner Sergio, Abigail Forister, and Jacob Forister; a granddaughter, Brielle; a brother Scott Horton and his wife Corinna; step siblings Jonathan Cox, Kevin Cox, Jennifer Downing, and Tara White; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. </p><p><br></p><p>Graveside services will be held 1 PM Monday, May 22, 2023, at the Silver Ridge Cemetery, Sherman (Silver Ridge Township) with the Rev. Mark York officiating. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket. Messages of condolence may be expressed at Sandy’s Book of Memories at www.lamsonfh.com. </p><p><br></p>
