CRAWLEY, Kenneth (Ken) Andrew

Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, after a valiant battle with Leukemia, in the Palliative Care Unit at Brantford General Hospital, on Saturday, May 20th, 2023. Ken Crawley of Brantford, at the age of 76 years. Survived by his wife of 51 years and best friend, Jeanette. Father and team leader of his children Karen (Colin) Boughton, Andrew (Renee) Crawley and Jen (Steve) Fotheringham. Grandpa and Superhero to Brendan, Ethan, Ryan, Liam, Kyle, Mackenzie, Evan and Claire. Respected Father-in-law to Steve and Iain. Survived by his sisters Pat Scott (Brantford) and Anne (John) Marra, and Sisters-in-law, Ann McGivern and Pat Phee (Scotland, U.K.) Pre-deceased by his parents Leslie and Peggy Crawley and brother Eddie Crawley (Scotland, U.K). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Ken began working as a manufacturing engineer over 40 years ago, with the last 30 years being dedicated to providing leadership in the playground manufacturing industry, most recently for Henderson Recreation Equipment in Simcoe. Ken’s love and dedication to his family, his strong work ethic and generosity to all he met leaves a legacy that will undoubtedly live on in all of us. Visitation at McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road N., Brantford on Wednesday, May 24th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral mass will be held at St. Basil’s Catholic Church, 50 Palace Street, Brantford on Thursday, May 25th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (www.bloodcancers.ca) in Ken’s name would be appreciated.
