Ronald "Ron" Gresbach Obituary

Ronald “Ron” John Gresbach, age 60 years, of West Bend found peace on May 17, 2023 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa surrounded in the love of his family.

Ron was born on November 27, 1962 in Milwaukee, son of Ellen and Gerald Gresbach.

Ron attended Hartford High School.  He was a computer and point-of-sale technican for many restaurants and grocery stores.  Ron was united in marriage to Cynthia Mayer in 1985.  Together they had two children.

Ron loved decorating for birthdays and holidays, spending the months leading up to Christmas decorating to make the holiday special.  He enjoyed grilling out, being outside gardening, and traveling to Florida.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his frequent visits with his grandsons and being involved with whatever they were doing, always bringing treats for Noah and Carter.

Those Ron leaves behind to cherish his memory include his two children, Brittany (Brian) Verhasselt and Zachary Gresbach; two grandsons, Noah and Carter Verhasselt; parents, Gerald and Ellen Gresbach (nee Persick); siblings, Jim Gresbach, Joan (Tony) Schmitt, Linda (George) Wood, Rick (Teri) Gresbach; Bill (Carrie) Gresbach, Scott (Stacey) Gresbach, and Andy (Sara) Gresbach.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his biological father, Richard Renner, who passed away in 1965; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

VISITATION:  Ron’s family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 12:30 pm until 2:15 pm at St. Peter Catholic Church (200 E Washington St. – Slinger, WI  53086)

SERVICE:  A Memorial Mass in remembrance of Ron will take place on Sunday, May 28 at 2:30 pm at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Richard Stoffel officiating.  A private burial will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee and Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for their care and compassion.
