Marguerite E. Wellington, 96, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2023, at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 14, 1927, in Hampden, the daughter of Joseph L. and Carrie (Hanning) Wellington.

Marguerite worked at the Bangor Mental Health institute for 27 years. First working as a nurses aid and later worked in the administrative offices. When able, she enjoyed knitting. Marguerite will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

She is survived by her son, Jerry M. Wellington of Orrington; and a sister, Virginia Wolf of Hermon. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters and six brothers.
