Kathryn Eilene McCarley Bauer 95, passed away 18 May 2023 at the Lake Ridge Senior Living Center in Orem, Utah.

Eilene was born 13 April 1928 at home in Bell, California to her parents Thomas Pink and Lela Bell (Watson) McCarley. She was the youngest of 10 children: Clyde, Kyle, Carl, Mattie, “Bud”, Lilly, Addie, Charley, and Cloise. She grew up in Bell California and spent her entire life there until she moved to Downey Calfornia when she got married. She graduated from Bell High School.

She married John (Jack) Leroy Bauer 18 January 1948. They joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and were later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple. They had two children, Cherie and Gary. Eilene was a homemaker. She later finished beauty school and did hair for friends and family for a little extra spending money when her children were older.

Her daughter Cherie died 11 March 2011 in Downey Ca.

Jack died 29 June 2013. Eilene then sold her home and moved to Utah to live with her son Gary and his wife Grace . She lived with them for 5 years until she fell and broke her hip. At the advice of doctors and because of her age the decision was made to not repair her hip. She was confined to her bed for the last five years of her life. She lived in several assisted living homes until she moved to Lake Ridge.

Eilene loved her family, her parents, siblings and their families. She loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son Gary and his wife Grace, son-in-law Rick Henry, grandchildren John Bauer, Stacey (Cory) Baker, Chris (Christy) Bauer, Julie (Jef) Huntington, Tommy (Megan) Bauer, Kevin (Jessica) Bauer, Tony Henry, Amanda Henry, and Andy Henry. Great grandchildren, Raymond and Eric Henry, Cassi and Courtney Bauer, Tyler, Charli, Mitchell, and Callie Baker, Katie, Jake, Nick and Luke Bauer, Taylor, Jane, Hannah, Jonathan, Logan and Grant Huntington, Whitney, Brody, Riley and Elsie Bauer and Tori, Lizzie, Jackie, Penny and Nellie Bauer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, all of her siblings and their spouses, her daughter Cherie, her granddaughter Alexandra and her granddaughter-in-law Michelle Bauer.
