Jennings Bryan Johnson

Jennings Bryan Johnson, 94, of Pocahontas, Arkansas passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Bryan was born in Randolph County on June 13, 1928, to James Hurley and Martha Ada Johnson.

Bryan is preceded in death by his parents James Hurley and Martha Ada Johnson; son Bryan Alan Johnson; brother Mitchell Earl Johnson; and grandparents Columbus and Elizabeth Johnson and William and Rhoda Snodgrass.

Bryan is survived by his wife Zella Johnson; sons Larry James (Sonia Lynn) Johnson of Pocahontas, Richard Hurley (Andrea Susan) Johnson of Jonesboro, and David Michael Johnson of Pocahontas; grandchildren Jamie Bailey, Angela Johnson, Eric Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Bethanie Coleman, Logan Johnson, James Alan Johnson, and Nicholas Johnson; great grandchildren Ezekial Johnson, Kenyon Johnson, Kadin Forehand, Kyler Johnson, Zoie Delmont, Braxton Delmont, Hallie Johnson, Haidyn Johnson, Matthew Coleman, Jude Coleman, Katie Ragsdell, Jared Johnson, Megan Johnson, Ashlyn Ellis, Brynlee Ellis, Jake Johnson, Wesley Nicholas Johnson, and Tanner DeWayne Johnson; great great grandchildren Luke DeClerk, Hudsen Ragsdell, and Lane Ragsdell; brother Wendell (Alice) Johnson of Pocahontas; nephews Greggory Johnson, Tim Johnson, and Mark Johnson; and his niece Carolyn Williams.

Bryan’s visitation will be held at Hope Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm with the funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Gerald Fears officiating. Bryan will be laid to rest at Thomas Cemetery.
