John T. Danis, 75, of Kennebunk, passed away May 12, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 10, 1947 in Biddeford to Leo Paul and Anita (McGarrity) Danis.

John received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from New Hampshire College, worked at Pandora Industries after college and started his own accounting firm until he retired in 2021.

He was a devoted son and family man while being warm, generous, and kindhearted. He always had room for two loaded hot dogs and a choc from Rapid Rays. He was an avid golfer and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Paul and Anita Danis. He is survived by: his wife of 53 years, Shelley Danis of Kennebunk; son, Derek Danis and his wife, Kim of New Boston, NH; daughter, Amanda Black and her husband, Trevor of Merrimack, NH; sisters, Nancy Bourque and her husband, Robert of Biddeford, ME, Linda Morris and her husband, Chipper of Kennebunk, ME, and Mary Danis of Biddeford, ME; grandchildren, Lauren, Brady, Haley, and Morgan; and many nieces and nephews.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
