Norene Elizabeth Rand (nee Meadows) passed away on May 12, 2023 at the age of 69 in Portland, Maine. She was born on August 10, 1953 in Boston, Massachusetts. Norene was a loving and faithful wife, mom, and nana. She was a dedicated worker, friend, and community member. Her passion for history and theme parks, as well as her love for lighthouses kept her moving and active throughout life. Norene was always willing to feed a hungry belly and make new friends on her many adventures with her husband and best friend Phil. She enjoyed light house viewing, historical site visits, travel with her husband, comedy shows, and concerts. Of course NASCAR events! From Las Vegas to New Hampshire, Her husband Phil and Norene attended as many as they could.

Norene is survived by her husband Phil Rand, Daughter Jamie Cormier, son-in-law Jay Cormier, son Brian Cottrill, daughter-in- law Trisha Cottrill, grandchildren Tayla O’brien, Makala O’brien, Dillan Cottrill, Tessa Cottrill, Cassidy Cormier, Harley Keefer, Josh Cormier, great-grandchildren Zoey Cormier, Janessa Cormier, Maci Cormier, Brantley Dumond, McKinsleigh Cormier, Everleigh Rich, Benjamin Grenham, Maximus Cormier, McKennah Rae Michaud. She was preceded in death by her father James Meadows, mother Nora Meadows, and brother Skeeter Meadows.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home, on Friday, May 19, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
