BARRY WOLINS
MARCH 15, 1954 - MAY 7, 2023

Barry always said, “Legends never die,” and he lived his life that way. He was a legendary father
not only to his boys but to any young person who needed help. Barry dedicated his life to his
three sons Lee, Seth, and Nathan and his loving wife Michelle. He was a legendary friend who
would go to the ends of the earth for those he loved. His deep and wide friendships were rooted
in commitment and loyalty. Barry was a legendary businessman who built and sold the biggest
surf brands worldwide. He revolutionized the surf industry with his innovative approach, starting
with Bear International and achieving success with Rusty and Ripcurl in the USA. Return-
ing to South Africa in the 90s, he helped relaunch Quiksilver and built it into a market leader,
and recently launched Bilt Surf in the USA. With his unwavering faith, Barry led by example
and had a positive impact on countless lives. He will be missed by his sisters Sharona, Tina,
and Halinka and his father Costa Stanidis.

But how do you say goodbye to a legend?
You don’t. You celebrate him and the life he lived, because legends never die!
