GREEN, Audrey

1942 – 2023

Mrs. Audrey Norma Green of Penhold, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the age of 81 years. Mom was born in Lacombe and raised in Ponoka. She had eight siblings and was the second youngest. She met Dad, (Ken) and they married on February 6, 1959. They had three children, Bernadine, Donna and Robert. Mom had a day home for numerous years and worked in the nursery at the Bowladrome in Red Deer. Mom and dad spent many weekends camping and fishing at Brazeau, and at times mom outfished dad and liked to “rub it in”. We all had many good laughs at Mom over the years and now they are sweet memories. We figure her and dad are away fishing again. Mom, go in peace and we are so very grateful that your pain is over now. The family is very grateful to the staff at the Red Deer Hospice for the loving care received while being a resident there. Mom is lovingly remembered by her son, Robert Green of Penhold, Alberta and her two daughters, Bernadine (Ivan) Kenzle and Donna Fitzpatrick of Red Deer, Alberta. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Jessica (Brad) Meding and their children, Ethan, Turner and Kassidy Meding, Monica Loughlin and her son, Elliot Myre, Ken (Vicki) Loughlin and their son, Sylas Loughlin, Joshua Green, Greg and Jon Fitzpatrick. Mom was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Green. A Memorial Tea will be announced at a later date.
