Darrah, Kevin Preston

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kevin Darrah of Hoyt, NB announce his passing at Home in Hoyt, NB on May 6, 2023.  Kevin was born in Saint John, NB on May 23, 1957, to the late Ruth Elizabeth (Branscombe) and Preston Sydney Darrah.  He was the loving husband of Sharon (Kirkpatrick) Darrah for almost 14 years.

Along with his faithful wife Sharon, Kevin is survived by a daughter Natasha (Steph Poirier) Darrah, a stepdaughter Sabrina (Matt) Shirley, a son Kevin Jr. (Nikki Hachey) Darrah, two stepsons; Jason Hutchinson and Kyle (Nicole) Mitchell, twelve grandchildren, a sister Gail Darrah, and many other extended family.

Kevin as a devoted husband to Sharon, family members said that Kevin had never been happier than when he and Sharon married 14 years ago. He was a family man, enjoying time spent with family and especially his grandchildren, who called him either Papa Bear or Poppy.  Kevin was a spiritual man, reading his bible daily, and his favorite is the Lord’s Prayer as he often posted it on his Facebook page.

Besides his parents, Kevin is predeceased by two step daughters; Amanda Albright and Leanna Ruth Mitchell.

Family would appreciate any donations made in Kevin’s name to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.

Family and friends are invited to Patterson United Church Cemetery in Hoyt, NB for a Graveside Celebration of Kevin’s life on Thursday May 11, 2023 at 2pm with Pastors Blake Roy and Steve Gough.
