Wilma L. Thorpe

<p>Wilma L. Thorpe, of Rolla, MO, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the age of 89.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Wilma was born on September 2, of 1933 in St. Clair, MO to the late Roy Chasteen and Helen (Curtis) Chasteen. On May 6, 1961 she married Doyal Thorpe who preceded her in death on August 28, 2005.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents and husband, Wilma was also preceded in death by three brothers, Willie, Gene, and Bob Chasteen; stepson Don Thorpe; and one granddaughter Tiffany Dougherty.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Wilma loved to plant flowers and work in her yard, she won yard of the month two separate times. Wilma loved to can vegetables, and to work on arts and crafts. She had many hobbies that she enjoyed. However, her greatest joy, and the “highlight” of her days was when she was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Wilma will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: one son DeWayne Thorpe and wife, Cindy Thorpe of Rolla, MO; a host of grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

Wilma L. Thorpe, of Rolla, MO, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the age of 89.
