Presque Isle – Clara G. Grant, 99, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Aroostook House of Comfort. She was born February 18, 1924, in Maple Hurst New Brunswick, the daughter of Harvey and Amanda Bell.

Clara loved nothing more than to spend time with her family, and would never turn down a good game of cards. She was an avid gardener, whether it be taking care of her flower beds, or working in her vegetable garden, she loved doing both. In her younger years you could always count on her to be up for an adventure. A day of fishing, a weekend camping trip, or even just a quick picnic in the park. The trips to Florida that she took with her husband Randy, were trips she always looked forward to.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years Randy Grant and daughter Peggy Grant Keaton. Clara was also predeceased by five brothers and three sisters.

Surviving is her son Terry Grant of Presque Isle; A son in law Vaughn Keaton and his wife Brenda of Caribou; A sister in law Ethelberta Bell of Mars Hill; two grandchildren, Ben Keaton and his wife, Brandee of New Jersey and Kevin Keaton and his wife, Allison of Caribou; four great grandchildren, Jared Keaton and his wife Liza of Washburn, Marissa Keaton of Caribou, Matthew and Hunter Keaton of New Jersey, Two great great grandchildren Jaxon and Addysin Keaton; And sisters Hazel Rideout of Mars Hill and Joyce Clevette of Presque Isle. And several nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank the Aroostook House of Comfort for the exceptional care and comfort they provided during Clara’s stay.

Friends and family are invited to call 1 PM – 3 PM Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Duncan Graves Funeral Home, where a service will be conducted at 3 PM.
