<p>Susan Diane Caldwell of Independence, KS passed away on May 7, 2023, at the age of 78. As a Woman with strong faith in God, she went to her heavenly home.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 31, at Christ Church of Neodesha, 1001 Elm St, Neodesha, KS. Sue requested her ashes be buried beside her late husband Jim Caldwell at the Harrisonville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice and sent to Zach Webb Family Funeral Service, 1475 S. 10th, Independence, KS&nbsp; 67301.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Susan Diane Elliott Jennings Caldwell was born on April 20, 1945, in Wichita, KS to Dorothy Mae (Looman) and Robert Norman Elliott Sr. Susan grew up in Wichita, KS and graduated from East High School; she then married Edward A. Jennings and together had two children, Edward A. Jennings Jr and Kimberly K. Jennings (Eytcheson) (Krehbiel). She left Wichita for Independence, KS, in 1977, working as a District Manager for Avon; in 1985 she met and married Jim Caldwell, Sr. Jim passed in 2021. She loved helping others and spending time with family and friends. Sue owned and operated a daycare center for years in Independence and she was actively part of a Jailhouse Ministry where she met and helped so many men and women get their lives back on track.</p><p><br></p><p>Susan is survived by her son, Edward A Jennings Jr., and wife Terri Jennings of Moline, KS, granddaughter Becky Jennings (Johnson), husband Norman Johnson, great grandchildren Landon &amp; Ellie Johnson of Cherryvale, KS, grandson Carson Jennings, wife Mikaela Jennings of Pittsburg, KS; her daughter Kimberly K. Jennings (Krehbiel), grandson Matthew A Wulfekuhle, wife Stormi Moore (Wulfekuhle), great grandchildren McKenzee Moore &amp; Conor Dean Wulfekuhle of Neodesha KS; grandson Lee A. Eytcheson, wife Jordan Pavlak, great granddaughter Lilee M. Eytcheson; her brother Robert Norman Elliott; David Curtis Burleigh, sister Jackie Rose Burleigh and a host of other loving family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>The family of Sue Caldwell has entrusted the arrangement of the services to Zach and Dee Webb of locally owned Zach Webb Family Funeral Service of Independence.
