Helen Louise Costello, 84 of Tunnelton, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at her residence. She was born on September 6, 1938 in Kingwood, daughter of the late Sheilar and Mabel Gladys (Molisee) Costello. Helen loved gardening, canning, working on the farm, watching TV, especially wheel of fortune, jeopardy, prices right, lets make a deal and Judge Judy. She is survived by Doyle Burnes Bishop; one daughter, Debbie L Shaffer, Newburg; five grandchildren, Kristy Lynn Everly, Waynesboro VA, Michael Alan Catlett, Newburg, Sarai Jean Miller and husband Benjie, Kingwood, Daniel Ray Shaffer, Reedsville, Woody Joe Shaffer and wife Alica, Salem; twelve great grandchildren, Blakelyn, Haley, Maleigha, Jazmyne, McKenzie, Oliver, Ellieana, Isaiah, Brayden, Laura, Emily and Leila; four brothers, Tony Costello and Miriam, Kingwood, Gay “Bud” Costello and Norma, Kingwood, Don Costello and Mary, Ona, WV, Jimmy Costello and Carol, OH; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her son, John Wayne Bishop in 2013; three brothers, William “Bill” Costello, Guy “Bubby” Costello and Darrell Costello; four sisters, Marie Wolfe, Bonnie Martin, Barbara Costello and Faye Ford. Graveside service will be held Monday, May 1, 2023 at 3pm at the Bishop/Costello family farm at Tunnelton, with Pastor Jeff Anderson officiating.
