Obituary: Barbara Elaine (Nile) White

Barbara Elaine (Nile) White, 83, a longtime resident of Springvale, passed away at Southridge Nursing Home in Biddeford on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

Barbara graduated in Stratton, Maine where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Thomas White on November 28, 1959.

She loved spending time with her growing family, playing Bingo, coloring books and her secret stash of chocolates.

Barbara was predeceased by her son, Daniel White and her daughter Anita White Howes.

She is lovingly survived by her husband Thomas M. White, her sons, Stanley White and wife Pamela, Benjamin White and wife Melissa, her daughters Shirley Langlais and husband Phil, and Paula White, a sister Lola Ellquist and husband Ken.

Barbara leaves behind nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 27th from 5 – 7 p.m. at Bibber Memorial at Autumn Green, 47 Oak St., in Alfred.
