<p>Roger Wayne Hyatt, age 69, of Rison went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 23, 2023. He was born August 10, 1953 to the late Elbert Clayton Hyatt and Dorothy Hyatt Raybon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Linda Tolson and his brother-in-law William Hamilton.&nbsp; Mr. Hyatt or “Worm” as his classmates knew him, was a 1971 graduate of Rison High School, and a member of the 1970 State Championship Football Team. He was a member of Bethel #1 Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad and went on to own H&amp;H Automotive Center until his retirement. Mr. Hyatt was also a Master Mason. He was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed coaching sports, hunting, fishing and camping. </p><p>He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jeffie Powers Hyatt, his daughter Summer McGhee and her husband Sam, his son, Chris Hyatt and his wife Alyssa, grandchildren, Maelea McGhee, Maggie McGhee, Ryan Hyatt, Riley Hyatt, Isaac Hyatt and Hollie Hyatt. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Wilson and her husband Donnie, Brenda Hamilton, and his brother-in-law James Tolson, and numerous family and friends who loved him dearly. He also leaves behind his loyal pets Trooper and Rowdy. </p><p>Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2023 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. </p><p>Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Bro. Sluggo Norris and Bro. Mike Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. </p><p>Arrangements by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.&nbsp; </p>
