<p>Gladys Jorgenson, 92, Casselton, ND passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Bethany on University in Fargo, ND. </p><p>Gladys L. Jorgensen was born March 18, 1931 at the family farm near Pickardville, ND to Albert and Clara (Pickard) Jorgensen. She grew up on the farm with four brothers and two sisters. She was proud of an 8-year perfect attendance award as rural grade school was 2 ½ miles away. She graduated with the class of 1949, McClusky High School. She was active in 4H and joined the Legion Auxiliary at the age of 16. </p><p>She married Bruce Jorgenson on June 21, 1953. Gladys and Bruce raised three sons, William, Karl and Brian. She enjoyed giving her time serving in Cub Scout Den Mother, Eastern Star, Legion Auxiliary, Casselton United Methodist Church, Casselton Business Association. </p><p>In 1969, the family moved to Casselton and she went to work at the Casselton Drug Store and served there for four different owners spanning 40 years. Casselton Drug Store is where Gladys would greet customers with a smile and “may I help you” beginning decades of friendships she cherished. </p><p>Gladys enjoyed time with her coffee friends and her hobbies of crocheting, knitting, hardanger, ceramics, baking and canning. She always strived for excellence. Most of all, Gladys loved her family, being at their sporting activities and hosting gatherings. She will be remembered for her positive attitude and thoughtfulness. </p><p>Gladys moved to Bethany on University in March of 2020. Special thanks to the Bethany staff and Ethos Hospice. </p><p>Gladys leaves her husband Bruce of 69 years; sons, Karl (Christi) Elk River, MN and Brian (Paulette) Bismarck, ND, five grandchildren, Karlee (Vince) Bertuccio, Cody (Karrie) Jorgenson, Katelyn (Tom) Meaney, Lexi Jorgenson and Maddie Jorgenson; four great grandchildren, Harper, Kinley, Mia and Camden; sister in-law Marlys Kohler, Phyllis Jorgenson, brother in-law Edward Prince and numerous nieces and nephews. </p><p>Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, son Willie, brothers Buster, Charles, Norman, Albert Jr. sisters Alice and Evelyn, and a special Uncle Oliver. </p><p>Visitation: Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 6 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at West Funeral Home, Casselton.<br> Funeral:&nbsp; Friday, May 12 at 11 AM at West Funeral Home Chapel, Casselton with visitation one hour prior.<br> Burial: Casselton Cemetery. </p><p>West Funeral Home &amp; Life Tribute Center<br> westfuneralhome.com </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; </p>
