Auburn – Claire L. LeVasseur, 86, of Auburn, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 19, 1936, in Lewiston, the daughter of Rosario J. and Marie Jeanne (Beaulieu) Bedard. On September 7, 1963, at St. Louis Church in Auburn she married Robert P. LeVasseur. Claire was a housewife/homemaker, and a daycare provider. She enjoyed line dancing, gardening, her pool, and Sunday drives. Claire is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert LeVasseur of Auburn, daughter Patricia Allen and significant other Charles Allen of Auburn, son Daniel LeVasseur and wife Kelly-Jo of Livermore, brother Maurice Bedard of Lewiston, sister Pauline Tardif and husband Gerard of Sabattus, grandchildren Andrew Rioux, Jeremy Allen, Chelsea LeVasseur, Evan LeVasseur and wife Brianna, and great grandchild Huntleigh LeVasseur.
