Michael E. Shave Jr., 53, of Jackson died suddenly on Friday April 14, 2023. He was known by many as Mike, Mickey, Michael, and his favorite name, Daddy. Born in Neptune, he was raised in Lakewood, attended Holy Family School and graduated Lakewood High School in 1987. He worked as a carpenter since he was 17 and for Epic Builders in Piscataway for the last 20 years. He was a long standing member of the Carpenters Union Local #255 in Hammonton. He was known for his unmatched work ethic, enjoyed salt water fishing and was an avid hunter. He had a bigger than life personality with a booming laugh and was an animated story teller. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kerri Ann Shave, and two daughters, Nicole & Samantha Shave, who were his everything. He leaves behind his parents, Michael E. Shave, Sr. & Virginia, brother, Christopher Shave & wife Christine, sister, Marisa Potts & husband Donald, grandmother Adele, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws and countless friends. Visitation is Tuesday 4-8 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 125 S. Cooks Bridge Rd. Jackson. Funeral Liturgy is Wednesday 10:30 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold with interment to follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
