Mr. Linwood Mae, 90, transitioned at Signature Nursing and Rehabilitation in Kinston, NC. The viewing for Mr. Mae will be held in Mills Funeral Home Chapel Friday, April 14, 2023 from 3p to 6p. Funeral services will take place Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 12p at Savannah Free Will Baptist Church in Grifton, NC. Interment will follow in Mills Memorial Garden.

Mr. Mae leaves to cherish his memory, 5 sons: Harvey Brown of Snow Hill, NC, Lester Maye (Nicole) of Grifton, NC, Leon Maye of the home, Orlandous Maye (Juanita) of Kinston, NC, and Toma Maye (Amekea) of McDonough, GA; 2 daughters: Mary Sanders of Kinston, NC and Judith Johnson (Kevin) of Fredericksburg, VA; one daughter-in-law, Ella Lewis; 7 sisters: Mary Jones (Bob) of Grifton, NC, Barbara Speight (Billy Ray) of Maury, NC. Shirley Mumford of Greenville, NC, Brenda Dixon of Bronx, NY, Willie Ruth Hart of Grifton, NC, Earline White of Grifton, NC, and Geraldine Williams (Willie) of Kinston, NC; 19 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 special nephew, Randy Mason of Kinston, NC; 2 brother-in-laws: Robert Mason (Loistene) of Laurel, MD, and Lester Mason (Katherine); 2 sister-in-laws: Frances Mason of Hugo, NC, and Deloise Atkinson of of Baltimore, MD; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
