Janice Elaine Faucett-Holstine, age 73, of Kansas City, Missouri, was surrounded by loved ones when she received her wings and went to be with Jesus on April 5, 2023. We find peace knowing she no longer struggles and is now reunited with her loved ones that welcomed her into Heaven's Gates.
Janice was born August 24, 1949, in Miller, Missouri, to Kenneth and Norma Lee (Rhodes) Faucett. Widowed in 1964, Norma married Homer C. Stockton. After graduating from Miller High School with the class of 1967, Janice attended Draughon’s School of Business. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri, in February 1969 for employment. She began her career in the grocery industry at Milgram's and retired in 2015 from Associated Wholesale Grocers. Other employers throughout her career include Wetterau, Fleming Foods and Argus Health Systems. Although Miller was always "home", despite having lived out of town for many years, she gained a host of neighbors, friends and colleagues in Kansas City that were like family to her.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Denise (Scott) Williams; granddaughter, Samantha (Gus) Hendren; great-granddaughter, Skylar; one brother, Eddie (Judy) Faucett; two sisters, Karen (Jimmy) Smith and Teresa Stockton-Cruise. Only having one daughter, "Aunt Jannie" adored her nieces, Renee (Ray) Groshong, Jami Smith-Boggs, Allison Faucett, Kayla Faucett and nephews Keith (Mandy) Faucett, Jason (Kristi) Smith, Austin (Sherly) Cruise, and Dillon Cruise; great-nieces, Madison (Austin) McCanless, Kayleigh Faucett, Bailee Boggs, Sawyer Smith and great-nephews, Garrett (Teagan) Hadlock, Hank Faucett, Kai Faucett, Truman Smith, Fletcher Smith, and five great-great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her companion and care provider since 2020, James Taylor.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Norma Lee; step-father, Homer Stockton; one brother, Larry Faucett and niece, Nicole Cruise.
Janice's quick beautiful smile, infectious laugh, generous heart and forgiving nature will be sorely missed by all that had the honor to know and love her.
