Liselotte F. “Lisa” Scott, 89-year-old Vinita resident, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Heartsworth Senior Living in Vinita. She was born on October 13, 1933, in Dinkelsbühl, Germany to Gottfried and Christana (Zayre) Kafer. Lisa met the love of her life Earl L. Scott, while he was in the military, stationed in Germany. They married and later moved back to the United States, making their home in Vinita. Lisa worked at the Autumn Nursing Home, later Heartsworth Senior Living for over 40 years, she was the Senior Dietician. She enjoyed having friends over and chatting around the picnic table in her backyard. Lisa loved her grandkids, her dachshunds, going to garage sales, cooking for the family, and going on Sunday drives in the country.

Preceding her in death include her parents, husband Earl Layman Scott, and her son in law, Mark Buchanan.

The family includes her children, Juergen “Charlie” Scott of Carl Junction, Missouri, Layman Thomas Scott of Vinita, Janet Buchanan of Vinita, four grandchildren, Elizabeth West, Ashley Roemmich, Justine Scott, Alyssa Scott, great-grandchildren, Ethan, Walker, Katie, Aubrey, and Harlow.

The celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel with Chaplain Thomas Schwartz officiating.
