George T. Mulvaney Obituary

70, of Narragansett, passed away suddenly on March 30, 2023.  He was the husband of Carol (Duxbury) Mulvaney for forty-six years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George T. and Ethel (Garvin) Mulvaney.

Mr. Mulvaney graduated from Hope High School in 1970 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Roger Williams University.

George, a tremendous engineer, was the former owner of OST Services in Providence.  Playing guitar was his passion; in his youth he played in the band Tell Tale Heart and was still in touch with the band members.  He loved to be out on the sea in his boat and also enjoyed gardening.  He had a fondness for West Highland Terriers. George recently retired and loved it.

Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Christopher Mulvaney and his wife Rebecca; two grandchildren, Ryan and Addison Mulvaney; and two nieces Erica Cumps and Jennifer Medina.  He was the father of the late Elizabeth Conley; and brother of the late Carole and Marjorie Mulvaney.

His funeral and burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John E. Fogarty Center, 220 Woonasquatucket Avenue, North Providence, RI 02911.
