Maryjo Cobb-Martin

<p>MaryJo Cobb-Martin passed away peacefully with loved ones by her bedside. She was born October 11, 1951, in East Chicago, IN. to Clinton and&nbsp;LaFloura&nbsp;Cobb. She confessed to Christ at an early age and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church of East Chicago, IN. MaryJo attended East Chicago, Roosevelt, and Horace Mann High School of Gary IN, where she graduated from. During her teenage years she met the love of her life, Stephen A. Martin. They were later married and had three beautiful children (Kyla, Stephen Jr., and Eric). Maryjo worked as a teacher’s aide for Head Start-Gary Community School Corporation, she was a supervisor for Superior Cleaning Services, a supervisor for guest/hospitality at Ramada Inn, and was the manager over guest hospitality at White Lodging (Fairfield Inn), where she retired from. MaryJo was a lively, caring, vibrant and a very generous woman. She was all about family and cherished her grandchildren. She was everyone’s favorite. </p><p>MaryJo was preceded in death by her parents Clinton and&nbsp;LaFloura&nbsp;Cobb, her sisters (Darnell Cobb, Sharon Dubois, Bernadette Williams, and&nbsp;LaTrina&nbsp;Cobb) and her ex-husband Stephen A. Martin Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory, 3 loving children, Kyla Jemison (Bernard), Stephen A. Martin (Joanne), and Eric Martin. Her loving sisters LaDonna Collins (Raymond), and Maggie Cobb, and her brother Clinton Cobb Jr. 13 grandchildren: Raven, Eriel, Kowan Jr., Elijah, Josiah,&nbsp;N’Karria, Brooke, Stephanie, Erica, Aniyah, Eric Jr., Emari, and&nbsp;NemiKay. 3 great grandchildren: Cadence, Iris and&nbsp;Ky’Aire. Special thanks to her niece Clinneka. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives, friends, co-workers over the years, and many wonderful people too numerous to mention.
