<p>GADD, Marilyn Patricia (Erickson)</p><p>Sydney</p><p><br></p><p>We, the family of Marilyn Patricia (Erickson) Gadd, deeply regret to announce her passing on March 29, 2023, at the MacGillivray Guest Home, Sydney, after a five-year battle with cancer. </p><p><br></p><p>Marilyn was the loving wife of William “Bill” Gadd for 63 years and was born on November 1, 1941, to Rudolph and Mary (MacIsaac) Erickson.</p><p><br></p><p>Marilyn is survived by her children, Jeannette (Paul) Martin, Sydney, Clifford Gadd, Edmonton, Judy McKillop-Carroll (Stewart Carroll), Sackville and LeeAnne Erickson Gadd, Sydney, as well as her sister, Linda Chandler, Ontario and sister-in-law, Phyllis, Sydney. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Hillary (Andrew), Jeff (Melissa), Alicia (Chad), Kyle and Angelia (Matt) and her great-grandchildren, Emma, Eric, Paige, Devynn, Eleanor, Marian and Jaxtyn. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Besides her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, James, Gwendolyn Richer, Victor, Terry, Robert, Stan, Sandra, Gary and Geraldine, Brian and Diane, in infancy. She was also predeceased by many special brothers and sisters-in-law.</p><p><br></p><p>Marilyn was a Zellers employee for 25 years. She bowled in several leagues and regularly attended the Eagles hockey games as a season ticket holder. She attended St. Albans Anglican Church and was always seen at the various church events throughout the years. Marilyn loved her family fiercely, but what she was most passionate about was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral service will be held in Sydney Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 4th at 6 pm with Rev. Jackie Warren presiding. Reception to follow.
