<p>McDuffie County </p><p>William Timothy “Timmy” Usry, 61, of Thomson, Georgia, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. </p><p>Timmy was born in Thomson, Georgia on December 5, 1961, grew up in Thomson, Georgia and lived there most of his life. He was a heavy equipment operator with Reeves Construction and Martin Marietta. Timmy enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, art work and joking around. He loved following Jesus and spending time with his family and friends. </p><p>Timmy was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Hughes Morris and his stepfather, Stanton Morris and brother, Stan Morris. His survivors include his father, Kenneth Usry; his sons, Blake Usry (Haven) and Jesse Usry; daughter, Nicole Montes; his brother, Stephen Usry and five, grandchildren, Natalie Montes, Christian Montes, Cali Bleu Usry, Shiloh River Usry and Josiah Usry. </p><p>His service will be held at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeremy Whaley and Pastor Phillip Bertch officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service with the interment following at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for the service are Mark Huff, Ken Gilmer, Harvey Hillman, C. J. Brown, Gene Morris and Dewayne Walden.
