Melissa "Missy" Lynn Stone Obituary

Melissa “Missy” Clark Stone, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, precious daughter, sister and friend went to be with her Lord in the early morning of March 29, 2023.   

Missy was born May 9, 1966 to Harry E. Clark and Katie Gattis Clark of Laurinburg, NC.  She was a graduate of Scotland High School and attended Richmond Community College.  During her working career, Missy served as the manager of Carolina Loans for over 17 years, then becoming the secretary for Scotland Accelerated Academy and later with Wagram Primary. She married the love of her life, Keith on June 21, 1984 and together raising their son, Eric in their home filled with love.  She adored her family, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed making scrapbooks which are now treasures left behind.  Missy will truly be missed by all she loved.

She is joined in Heaven by her grandmother, Inez Cribb, grandfather, Robert Wallace, father-in-law, Bill Stone and her aunts, Jean Biggs and Joyce Graham.

Missy leaves behind her husband of 38 years, Keith Daren Stone; son, Eric Keith Stone and wife Katie; her precious grandchildren, Gibson, Carter and Paisley Stone; parents, Rev. Harry and Katie Clark; brother, Michael Clark and wife Hope; sister, Angie Cline and husband Eddie; grandmother, Esther Clark Wallace and mother-in-law, Barbara Stone Fore; special friend, Amy Clewis all of Laurinburg.  She is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, and a host of family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the East Laurinburg Church of God officiated by Rev. Harry Clark and Rev. Brett Davis.    Burial will follow the service in Hillside Memorial Park.   

Visitation will be prior to services on Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the church.
