<p>Mary Ann Prater,78, of Morristown, TN, left this world March 27, 2023 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.&nbsp;&nbsp;Mary Ann was born September 11, 1944.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She was a loving, kind and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.&nbsp;&nbsp;She loved her family, hot coffee and Elvis Presley.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Her smile was infectious.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Nothing made her smile more than going out to eat with friends and seeing pictures and hearing stories of her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.&nbsp; &nbsp; </p><p>Mary Ann is survived by her 2 children.&nbsp;&nbsp;Bobby Sawyer (Misty) and Christy Romo (Joe); grandchildren, Kip Sawyer (Whitney), Brook Neal (Daniel), Alex Smith (Kane); 9 great-grandchildren and brothers, Carl Brewer, Glenn Brewer and former spouse Robert Harold Sawyer Sr.&nbsp; &nbsp; </p><p>Mary Ann will be joyfully reunited with those preceding her passing; adopted mother, Katie Henry; mother, Pauline Kuykendall; brothers, Robert Eugene Brewer. Charles Hardie Brewer and Homer Lee Brewer; sister, Louise Brewer Murray. </p><p>We would like to give a special thanks to Life Care of Jefferson City nursing staff and administration for taking excellent care of our mother during this difficult time. </p><p>The family will receive friends from 11:00 am&nbsp; – 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 30, 2023, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 1:00 pm, with Dr. Kenneth Boling officiating.&nbsp; Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 31, 2023, in Hamblen Memory Gardens.&nbsp; </p>

Obituary

Mary Ann Prater,78, of Morristown, TN, left this world March 27, 2023 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.  Mary Ann was born September 11, 1944.   She was a loving, kind and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.  She loved her family, hot coffee and Elvis Presley.   Her smile was infectious.   Nothing made her smile more than going out to eat with friends and seeing pictures and hearing stories of her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   

Mary Ann is survived by her 2 children.  Bobby Sawyer (Misty) and Christy Romo (Joe); grandchildren, Kip Sawyer (Whitney), Brook Neal (Daniel), Alex Smith (Kane); 9 great-grandchildren and brothers, Carl Brewer, Glenn Brewer and former spouse Robert Harold Sawyer Sr.
