Helen Orrick, 82, of Whitesburg, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 27, 2023.  She was a longtime member of Catherine Nenney Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry “Tobe” and Grace Gibson; brothers, Jessie Fred “Bud” and George Douglas Gibson; mother and father-in-law, Lois “Granny” and Herbert Orrick; as well as several other family members.

 Helen is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Orrick; children, Eva Nell (Troy) Orrick; Michael “Big O” (Darla) Orrick, and Richard Lynn (Teresa) Orrick, and  Regina “Jenny” May; grandchildren, Chris, Jesse, Kayla, Rachel, and Olivia; great-grandchildren, Case, Levi, and Lily, as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Reverend James Ramsey officiating.  Graveside services will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 30, 2023, in Catherine Nenney Cemetery in Whitesburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Catherine Nenney Baptist Church.
