Charles Perez, Sr., 64, of Orange Park, FL passed away March 21, 2023. He was born October 6, 1958 in Philadelphia, PA and was the third of five children born to Ana Alvarado and the late Isidoro Perez. Charles worked at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital for 13 years where he was recognized for his hard work and dedication to the job. Charles also worked doing environmental services and construction work. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether that was riding his bike or being outside all day cleaning his truck. Anyone who knew him knew that he loved listening to music, especially Jazz music. Charles had an infectious smile and a unique laugh that would sound the entire room. He was always up to talk and tell stories with anyone who would listen, he loved just talking.

Charles is preceded by his father, and brother, Johnny Perez. He leaves several people who love him and will cherish his memory. Charles will forever remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Maritza Rivera; children, Charles Perez, Jr. ( Latoya Holton-Perez) and Sarah Perez (Jalen Rogers); siblings, Ramon Perez, Orlando Perez and Migdalia Perez; grandchildren, Ceyana Perez, Riley Gainor, Noah Perez and Christian Rivera with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, April 1, 2023 in the Jacksonville Memory Gardens Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:30am until service time.
