<p>Clyde Alexander Epperson II, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend left this world on March 27, 2023, peacefully after a brave battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.</p><p><br></p><p>Service: 11:00 am, Monday, April 3, 2023 in Biggers Funeral Chapel.</p><p><br></p><p>Clyde was born in Miami, Florida on November 29, 1941, where he lived most of his life until moving to Fort Worth in 2006 for the opportunity to fly with his son. Clyde went to college on a swimming scholarship at 16 years of age and attended Southern Illinois University where he earned his bachelor's degree in Governmental Studies. He later earned his teaching degree at the University of Houston. Clyde was very active and enjoyed playing tennis, swimming, and Golf. Clyde taught history and physical education for seven years before becoming a corporate pilot for 40 years.</p><p><br></p><p>Clyde was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Alexander Epperson; his mother, Jane Burge Epperson; and his brother, Arthur Fraiser Epperson.</p><p><br></p><p>Clyde is survived by his loving wife, Vanessa Avrutis Epperson; his son, Clyde Alexander Epperson III; his daughter-in-law, Sherry Cantrell Epperson; his granddaughters, Teresa Marie Rose Albrecht and husband, Fred, Johnine Banks Elliott and husband, Aaron, and Caroline Alexis Epperson; great-grandchildren, Cadence Albrecht and Clyde Albrecht; sister, Jane Barnard; brother, Fletcher Epperson; loving sisters-in-law, Valerie Avrutis and Victoria Avrutis; brother-in-law, Thomas Lee Avrutis; nephews; and many, many friends.</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;</p>
