<p>Jeffrey Joseph Pursell, age 48, of Chicago, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Peterson Park Health Care Center in Chicago.<br> <br> Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.<br> <br> Jeff was born September 27, 1974 in Joliet, Illinois, a son of Edwin and Irene (Fioritto) Pursell. He married Amy Sloan May 20, 2000 in Joliet. Surviving are his wife, Amy; daughters, Allison, Jenna, Julia and Alaina; a granddaughter, Nova; brothers Richard and Craig; and a sister, Rachael (Craigg) Spangler. Jeff also leaves a nephew, Ryan Spangler; a niece, Samantha (Aldo) Ornelas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews by marriage. His parents preceded him in death.<br> <br> Jeff was a Superman fanatic and an avid Chicago Bears fan.
