MANNING – Fred Monroe Trexler, 89, widower of Marian Ann Thames Trexler, died Saturday, March 25, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born August 31, 1933, in Chappells, he was a son of the late Alfred Monroe Trexler and the late Emma Marie Dominick Trexler Barrineau. He was a US Army veteran and was retired from GTE with 30 years of service. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Manning.
He is survived by his daughter, Emily Trexler King (Gary); a granddaughter, Ashley Gene Harrington Arce (Efrain); three great grandsons, Gabriel Thompson, Eric Arce and Judah Arce, all of Manning; a sister-in-law, Hazel Trexler; two nephews, James Trexler and Terry Trexler; and a great nephew, Trey Trexler, all of Charleston.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Trexler; and a half sister, Roseanne Mixon.
Services will be private.
