Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother

Mary Rupp, 101, of Union Beach, passed away on March 24, 2023. Born in Harrison, NJ, she lived in Newark, prior to moving to Union Beach. Mary was the daughter of the late Adolph and Mary (Janunska) Brazenos. She was with the Essex County Court House and RCA in Harrison. Mary was an avid crocheter, she enjoyed Atlantic City and following celebrities in the news, and of course cooking. Mary was predeceased husband her Frederick Rupp, her daughter Mary Ellen Rupp, her brothers Alex, Adolph Brazenos, her sister Eleanor McGrath, and her companion George Blair. She is survived by her children, Linda Strimike, Joseph Rupp, and Fred Rupp, her grandchildren Carolyn Strimike, Melissa Casteldine and her husband Joseph, Jacquelyn Rupp, and her fiancé Richard Martinez, and Erica Rupp, and her great grandchildren Emily and Alice Barnes, Joseph Casteldine and Joseph Rupp Martinez.

The funeral will be on Monday March 27, 2023, at 9:00am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 120 Prospect Street, Nutley at 10am.

The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ

Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 2-5pm.
