<p>It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jane Kapitaniuk on March 22, 2023, at the tender age of 88.&nbsp; </p><p>Jane is survived by her loving sons Raymond, Terry (Darce) and Dale; daughter in law Shirley; grandchildren, Terri, Leslie (Tyler), Sheena, Leah and Derek; great grandchildren, Jordyne, McKenzie, Brenden, Isla, Lucca and Kora; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. </p><p>Jane was predeceased by her soul mate of 65 years, Kalenick, her son, Rudy, daughter-in-law, Winnie, and her sisters Mary, Lil, Kay and Leda.&nbsp; </p><p>Jane grew up on a farm outside of Athabasca with her 4 sisters. She continued a farming lifestyle when she married Kalenick and had her 4 wonderful boys. &nbsp;She had a passion for cooking and baking. This passion steered her and her dear friends to start a catering business, which kept her heavily involved in the community.&nbsp; She loved to be surrounded by family, friends and laughter.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p>A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 7:00 pm at the Athabasca Community Chapel. Please join the family in remembering Jane on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Athabasca Missionary Church. Pastor Al Plat and Pastor Jason Metcalf will be officiating.&nbsp; Cremation to follow.&nbsp; </p><p>In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Forfar Community Society - PO Box 2352, Athabasca, AB, T9S 2B8. </p>
