<p>Michael R. Parfitt, 65, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving daughter and family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Providence, he is the son of the late John F. and Theresa (Markarian) Parfitt. He was a shipping and receiving operator for Flint Inc. in Lincoln, RI for 15 years.</p><p><br></p><p>Mike persevered through his adversities, never letting his challenges hold him back. He gave selflessly to his family and lived his life with passion. His many interests included cooking, fishing, quahogging and gardening, but most importantly spending time with loved ones. Above all, his greatest joy was being “Gramps” and making memories with his cherished grandchildren. Mike left an amazing legacy of love behind and impacted every heart he touched. He will be truly missed by all that were blessed enough to know him.</p><p><br></p><p>Mike leaves his daughter Megan Perry; sister Nancy Langlois and her husband Leo; brothers John Parfitt. and his wife Jane, Steven Parfitt and his wife Linda, and Robert Parfitt; grandchildren Jordan, Caden, and Nathan; and several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>A Catholic prayer service will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in Tucker-Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visiting hours prior from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Burial will be private.</p>
