John Franklin Gulledge, Jr.
<p>Mr. John Franklin Gulledge Jr., passed away at the age of 87 on March 23, 2023. He was born October 3, 1935 in Union County, North Carolina to the late John Franklin Gulledge and Sara Catherine Harris Gulledge. </p><p>John was a United States Army Veteran who enjoyed his many years of operating Gulledge Aviation at Laurinburg-Maxton Airbase alongside his wife Mae Belle Childress Gulledge. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served as a longtime member of Laurinburg Presbyterian Church. </p><p>In addition to his parents and wife, Mae, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Gulledge and James Gulledge. </p><p>John is survived by his children, John Franklin Gulledge, III of Denver, NC, William Dallas Gulledge and wife, Leigh of Pelzer, SC; granddaughter, Lauren Gulledge Frost and husband Aaron of Greenville, SC, Sarah Gulledge Davenport and husband Richard of Thomason, GA; and great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Mae Davenport. </p><p>Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
