Malerie Jo Danberry, age 33, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at her home in Waseca.
Born on December 27, 1989 in Mankato to Tim and Amy (Bollman) Danberry. She attended JWP and Waseca Public Schools. Mal enjoyed working at Jobs Plus with all her friends. She was a great athlete for the Special Olympics, participating in bowling, softball and track.
Mal was full of life and loved people with her whole heart. She was always ready to greet people with a huge smile and hugs all around. Spending time with her family was her greatest Joy. She loved going on family vacations, hanging out in the fish house and watching the vikings with her dad. Mal found great joy in teasing her nieces, nephews and siblings. She loved snacks, mountain dew, decks of cards, legos and all things Disney. Malerie Loved Alan Jackson, in fact she would sing and perform one of his songs every year at the ICAN talent show. Malerie also loved hanging out at her home of 14 years, with her house 7 family. Mal was a bright light in this world and an absolute Joy to everyone who knew her.
Malerie is survived by her parents, Tim and Amy Danberry of Janesville; siblings, Amanda Danberry and Ben Schnepf of Mankato, Zach and Edyth Danberry of North Mankato, Mike and Jenny Danberry of Janesville; nieces and nephews, Trevell, Hailey, Deegan, Brycan, Chloe, Blake and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by grandparents, Pete and Carol Bollman and Wallis and Cel Danberry.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the Janesville Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service.
Mal’s celebration of life will be 11:00 AM on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Dennis Heiden officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the church. The family invites all to wear their favorite jeans and Vikings apparel. The family will have a private burial at a later date at the Janesville Cemetery.
