Victor L. Doner, age 91 of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Monday, March 20, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Born on May 9, 1931 in Richmond, Indiana, he was the son of the late Harry H. & Winnie Mabel (Byrum) Doner. Mr. Doner graduated from Lewisburg High School in 1949 and received a degree from Olivet Nazarene College, Kankakee, Illinois in 1953. He earned his Master’s degree from Vandercook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois. He taught music and other subjects in Crothersville, Indiana High School during the 1953-54 term, and later was a high school music instructor at Orleans, Indiana and later taught at Modoc, Indiana. From 1960-1963 he served as Verona School Music Supervisor and in 1963 started his teaching career at Dixon-Israel Middle School, retiring in 1990 and then returned as a substitute teacher and officially retired in 2004. Mr. Doner loved the Indiana Pacers and Cincinnati Bengals. Member of the First United Church of Christ, Lewisburg, and Preble County Retired Teachers' Association.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Sisters: Glenna N. Rose and Doris Joan Stone; Infant Brother: Robert Doner.

Survived by his Wife of 62 years: Betty Louise (Hyre) Doner; Son: Kerry L. (Angela) Doner; Grandchildren: Kevin Humphrey, Megan Humphrey and Chase Humphrey; Great Grandchildren: Jamie, Brantley, Savannah and Sophia.

Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
