Patricia "Patty" Ann Paden Obituary

Patricia "Patty" Ann Paden, 82, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at her residence.  A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.  Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL.  Father Daniel Willenborg, Pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL, will officiate..  Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.

Mrs. Paden was born November 2, 1940 in Hillsboro, IL, to the late C.H. “Pat” & Olive Caroline (DePaoli) Chaudoin.  She was a 1958 Graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL and attended 1 year of college.  She married John M. Paden, on June 16, 1962, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2021.  She was a farm wife where she raised chickens, she had also worked at Mobley’s Drug Store and had worked at the Hillsboro Public Library for 35 years.  Mrs. Paden was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL, where she was a member of Council of Catholic Women; Hillsboro Public Library Board Member; Daughters of the American Revolution; Meals on Wheels; Moose Club #1377, Farm Bureau and several Card Clubs.  She loved to read and watch birds. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending all of their activities. 

Mrs. Paden is survived by her two children, Tracy (husband, Lonnie) Bruce of Hillsboro, IL and Scott (wife, Stephanie) Paden of Hillsboro, IL; six grandchildren, Chelsey (husband, Ross) Lamm, Becca Bruce, Gianna (husband, David) Weyers, Drew (wife, Mariah) Paden, Nick Bruce, and Drake Paden (fiancé, Makenzie Bellaver); two great grandchildren, Kellen Lamm & Wyatt Lamm and one sister, Edith Stahlberger.  Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Paden was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Martha Chaudoin & George S. Chaudoin.

Memorials are suggested to St. Agnes Catholic Church or Hillsboro Public Library.
